Like any sales jobs most potential employers are looking for proof of previous sales targets achieved and way that you have managed to reach good sales levels with great customer satisfaction.
This is particularly important in car sales as you would need to be able to read customers to ensure you know what they need from their new car and be able to deliver them a product that they are happy with at a price that your company is happy with. It’s about getting a balanced deal that suits all.
Previous experience in car sales would be preferable however it’s not essential as any sales history can be converted into relevant experience on a CV with examples of similarities from your previous job roles.
Most employers in this area will want you to have good commercial knowledge of cars and be able to easily recommend a variety of vehicles with ease being able to be sincere and confident to aid sales so always ensure that you express these qualities in your application and interview.
